Candidates must carry the following at the time of physical reporting. Where the notice specifies original and photocopy, both are needed — a photocopy alone is not sufficient.
- Four passport-sized photographs (preferably the same photo as on the admit card)
- CET Rank Card/Merit Order and CET Admit Card 2026, wherever applicable
- NLT Score/Rank Card and NLT Admit Card 2026, wherever applicable
- Online Registration Form 2026
- Provisional Seat Allotment Letter 2026
- Proof of date of birth — Secondary School Mark-sheet & Certificate (original and photocopy)
- Mark-sheets/Certificates of the qualifying examination — original certificates/mark-sheets of every year or semester, along with photocopies
- For candidates who passed the qualifying exam through distance/open learning: documentary evidence of the study centre's location, including a certificate from the university confirming this
- Medical Certificate, as per Appendix 4 of the Admission Brochure 2026-27
- Reserved Category Certificate (original + self-attested photocopy) for SC/ST/Defence/OBC candidates claiming a reserved seat
- PWD Certificate from a Government Hospital or a Unique Disability ID issued by the Government of India, showing at least 40% disability (as per sub-para 6.1.4 of para 6.1, Chapter 6 of the UG/PG Admission Brochure 2026-27)
- For Defence category: Appendix 1 countersigned by the Competent Authority, plus original documents supporting the claimed category (sub-para 6.1.5 of para 6.1, Chapter 6)
- Conduct and Character Certificate in original, issued by the Head of the Institution where the qualifying exam was passed, or by a Gazetted Officer — and not more than six months old
- Proof of payment of the Part Academic Fee — Rs. 96,000/- or Rs. 60,000/-, whichever is applicable
- Undertaking by the student on Anti-Ragging, as per Appendix 6 of the Admission Brochure 2026-27
- Undertaking by the Parent/Guardian on Anti-Ragging, as per Appendix 7 of the Admission Brochure 2026-27
Traps to watch — documents that get rejected
A few requirements in this notice are strict and specific. Getting these wrong is a common reason admissions get delayed or refused at reporting.
- The Conduct and Character Certificate must not be more than six months old, and must come only from the Head of your qualifying institution or a Gazetted Officer — a certificate from any other source or an older certificate will not be accepted.
- The PWD Certificate must show a disability of at least 40% and must be issued by a Government Hospital or as a Unique Disability ID by the Government of India — private hospital certificates or lower disability percentages do not meet the requirement.
- Reserved category certificates (SC/ST/Defence/OBC) must be original, with a self-attested photocopy also carried — a certificate that does not clearly establish the claimed category can cost the candidate the reserved seat.
- Defence category candidates need the extra Appendix 1 form countersigned by the Competent Authority, in addition to every other document — this is on top of, not instead of, the general checklist.
- For candidates from open/distance learning backgrounds, proof of the study centre's actual location is mandatory — a mark-sheet alone is not treated as sufficient proof of eligibility.
Fee payment at reporting
Candidates must show proof of payment of the Part Academic Fee — either Rs. 96,000/- or Rs. 60,000/-, whichever applies to their programme — as one of the documents at reporting.
The notice also clarifies that the Balance Part Academic Fee (the remaining fee amount, as mentioned in the Admission Brochure 2026-27) can be paid either online (net banking, credit card, debit card, etc.) or offline (through a Demand Draft), following the specific instructions issued by the candidate's allotted Affiliated College/Institute.
What the college is required to check
This part of the notice is addressed to the colleges, but it matters to candidates because it shows how seriously eligibility is checked after reporting.
The Dean/Director/Principal of each institute is responsible for verifying that every reported candidate's eligibility documents are correct — particularly for candidates who have been given only a provisional admission.
After each round of counselling and reporting, the institute must send a hard-copy certificate to the university's Academic Branch within two days confirming that all documents (qualifying exam eligibility, reserved category certificate, NLT/CET score card, and fee payment) have been verified, that all reported candidates are shown as 'reported' on the NIC portal, and that no student who has not been allotted a seat has been allowed to attend classes.
This means a candidate's admission is not final just because they physically reported — the college's verification of their documents is what confirms the seat.
